The financial services industry is under intensifying regulatory pressure to demonstrate greater control oversight, clearer risk accountability and stronger resilience against non-financial risks (NFR). However, many institutions still rely on slow, manual and inaccurate approaches, making it difficult to maintain consistent risk governance, respond quickly to regulatory expectations, and scale risk management effectively.
We’re continuously enhancing our AI product to deliver greater value and a smoother experience, and this update reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation.
What’s new this quarter?

- AI Driven Consolidation of Similar Controls
Expansion of Acin’s Risk Control Quality Enhancement Product
🔍 AI that optimises and creates controls faster
Acin’s RCQE product utilises proprietary AI technology to enhance the quality of risk controls and to increase robustness of monitoring data. Current Control Quality Check Tool identifies control design weaknesses, and the Control Rewrite helps firms uplift unclear controls for improved clarity and reduced risk.
This quarter, we’re introducing new Efficiency Tools and new Control Monitoring Tools, all designed to improve control quality, reduce risk, lower costs and accelerate audit readiness.
New AI Efficiency Tools
New efficiency tools that enhance control completeness and documentation to reduce risk, while also reducing costs and increasing the speed of delivery.

- Policy to Control – Automatically extracts sections, subsections, and clauses from policies to create controls
- Procedure to Control – Identifies inherent risks in procedures and generates controls based on those risks
- Process to Control – Maps out risks within key processes and suggests controls to mitigate them
- Merge Controls– Combine and merge similar controls to deliver a more efficient and streamlined controls environment
New Control Monitoring Tools
📊 Perfect Efficiency and standardised oversight
Manual control monitoring is slow and prone to inconsistencies. Acin’s updated AI monitoring tools ensure continuous, standardised monitoring of risk controls.

- Key Control Indicators (KCIs) – Acin’s AI generates indicators to assess control effectiveness, replacing manual testing
- Control to Testing Script – Produces structured testing scripts aligned with Acin’s Data Technical Standard to simplify audit readiness
AI Driven Consolidation of Similar Controls
📢 Review opportunities to merge controls
As part of Acin’s expanding Risk Control Quality Enhancement (RCQE) product offering, the Proliferation feature helps firms identify potential control duplication and merges them into one control. By consolidating similar controls, organisations can streamline operations, reduce costs and drive significant savings with AI.
Control duplication and proliferated controls often lead to unnecessary expenses and inefficient resource allocation. Our AI-driven solution scans all client controls, detects duplicates or similar controls and clusters them for easy review.
With Acin’s new Control Quality Tool: Merge Controls, users can seamlessly consolidate redundant controls, ensuring a more efficient and cost-effective risk management framework.

Bespoke Regulatory Alerts via Email
📢 Stay ahead of critical risk updates
Acin’s new email notification system ensures that, within 24–48 hours of a regulatory event (e.g. fine), key stakeholders receive an email outlining control coverage and gaps in their own risk control environment, with access to a detailed read across. This enables clients to answer the question “are you in control” within hours of the event to internal stakeholders and Boards.
By integrating automated notifications, firms can stay informed, take timely action and avoid regulatory blind spots.
