Based on a network of peers, Acin’s data protocols connect a bank’s risk control data across their firm and industry leading to greater cost savings, and creating huge efficiency savings across the bank both in front and back-office operations.

The role

This is a new position at Acin reporting to the COO, and the legal function will be embedded across the organisation, the candidate will build trusted relationships, is a strategic advisor and adds value across the organisation.

Duties:

• Review and advise the business on a variety of commercial agreements for both new and existing customers, partners and suppliers.
• Oversee the Company’s IP and ensure commercial protection in place.
• Support DPO in implementing and managing a data privacy framework, whilst advising GTM teams on data privacy matters.
• Support the ExCo Leadership team including CEO, CCO, COO (also the DPO), CTO with the highest standards of advice and guidance.
• Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
• Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.
• Provide sound, pragmatic solutions to legal queries and risks, always remaining down to earth and communicating in a manner suitable for the audience.
• Keep up to date with legal and regulatory changes, proactively identify risks to our business and solutions to eliminate or mitigate them.
• Prepare and negotiate larger/complex client contracts, partner agreements, supplier agreements, licensing agreements, NDAs and other legal agreements
• Support M&A activity as and when required from a legal perspective (using outside counsel as required)
• Assist the Operations team with property matters (using outside counsel as required) for example preparation of lease agreements.
• Review and provide legal advice on various financing credit and loan agreements.
