Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are increasingly applied across financial services activities. ESG includes issues such as bribery and corruption, slavery, climate change, and ethics and integrity. For example, financial firms selling ESG financial products need to manage risks associated with being able to deliver on advertising claims. Increasingly, governments and regulators require financial firms to incorporate of ESG-related information, such as climate change risk, into their annual reports.
