Stephen Sanders is a former senior executive in the investment banking industry, specialising in regulation, compliance, governance and risk management. He was most recently a Managing Director at JP Morgan for a number of years, where he was EMEA Head of Regulatory Policy (working with trade bodies, regulators and the EU institutions on MiFID, EMIR, GDPR and BRRD) and subsequently Chief Compliance Officer for EMEA (running a team of 600 across 30 jurisdictions).
In a career spanning 38 years, he has held management roles as a market regulator with the London Stock Exchange, and in compliance and risk with J. Rothschild Group, Deutsche Bank Group and RBS Group. Having written and edited books in his specialist fields and taught for both City University Business School and the ISMA Centre at Reading University, he is now a Visiting Professor at Kingston University Business School. He is a senior advisor to the Board of Acin Limited. Stephen has a BA (Hons) in English & History (CNAA), and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
